Private tutor in Anaheim, CA
University of Southern California - BS, Neuroscience
When I was very young, I made a commitment towards tutoring in my life, and I see it continuing to play a considerable role in the years to come. Part of what makes tutoring interesting to me is being creative and coming up with ways to make the subject matter interesting for the student. Since the age of 17, I have tutored math students from basic arithmetic skills all the way up to Algebra II. I studied at Duke University, and there I spent time working in a program that sent college mentors to high schools that had the lowest-performing students. We were successful in helping them prepare for and create college applications, instructing them as they studied for the SAT, and ensuring they had every resource possible to make attending university a possibility for them. Math, sciences, and preparing students for standardized tests are all subjects I am extremely well-versed in tutoring, and I specialize in chemistry, biology, and essay writing. I currently study at the University of Southern California, where I major in Neuroscience and consistently make the Dean's List. I try to make the most of my time with my students, and when time is limited I tend to focus on continuously practicing different problems while offering input. Most of my students have been referred to me by my teachers and professors, which is a testimony to my tutoring talent.
